Hit Baseball Tour Offers 2006 Sponsorships to Family-Focused Brands

Hit Baseball Tour Offers 2006 Sponsorships to Family-Focused Brands

ESI's Principal Family Fun Fest Announces Plans for Growth in 2006

New York, NY (PRWEB) July 16, 2005

The Principal Family Fun Fest is the world largest touring baseball fan festival. Entertainment & Sports International first produced the event in 2004, visiting 53 minor league baseball clubs and attracting over a quarter of a million people.

The tourÂ’s title sponsor is the Principal Financial Group who in 2004 attributed over $4 million in new business sales to the event. Other sponsors include Microsoft Xbox, Topps Trading Cards, Fox All Access radio, Turner South and retail giant Best Buy.

Minor league clubs welcome the event which is provided free to the team in return for promotional support. It provides added value to the fans and enhances their game experience. In addition the team is able to generate incremental revenue from tour related activities and promotions. In 2005 the tour will visit 56 teams for a total of 61 event days and is proving to have a positive effect on attendance in many markets.

ESI is now making plans for an even bigger and better production for 2006. “We strive to make the event different each year as over 50% of our stops are repeats from the previous year,” said ESI co-president Joe Owens, “we have a lot of surprises in store for 2006 and are looking for family oriented brands to join the tour”.

Sponsors receive a wide variety or benefits from the traditional signage, tickets and hospitality, to creative activation concepts specifically designed for the brand by ESI. A unique aspect of the ESI sponsorships is that they include on-site activation.

“We don’t feel it’s appropriate to charge a brand for the right to associate with the event and then to charge them again to leverage the association with consumers”, said Owens.

2005 has seen another innovation for the tour which allows The Principal to bring it’s sponsorship into the stadium from the parking lot. ESI created the Principal 401-K Challenge, a competition among teams to be the first to reach the 401 “K” or strikeout mark at home during the season. Baseball America Magazine is maintaining statistics for the competition and fans can vote for their favorite at www. prinicpal. com/funfest (http://www. prinicpal. com/funfest) and qualify for a $5,000 grand prize. Sponsor Best Buy is also executing in-stadium promos in selected markets with hundreds of gift cards as well as a Microsoft Xbox system and game being offered as prizes.

ESI is in the process of contacting companies with several sponsorship packages designed to fit every brand budget. The 2005 tour is on target to reach over 350,000 people at events and millions more through media and promotions and ESI anticipates that 2006 will be an even bigger year for the tour. “Our goal is to create awareness and sales opportunities for our sponsors by providing an event that supports an important element of the community, the local minor league ball club”, said Owens. “Our event is unique in that it truly a local marketing opportunity that is national in scope”.

ESI hopes to have its lineup of sponsors and teams for 2006 ready for announcement at the Winter Baseball Meetings in December. The 2006 Principal Family Fun Fest will launch in April and continue through the end of the season in September.

Death of Bethlehem Steel Depicted in Short Film

Death of Bethlehem Steel Depicted in Short Film

A trilogy of short films depicting the decline of three American institutions--including Bethlehem Steel--will premiere at the Wired Gallery in Bethlehem, PA on Friday, August 20th at 6:30 PM.

(PRWEB) August 14, 2004

A trilogy of short films depicting the decline of three American institutions will premiere at the Wired Gallery in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Each film in the trilogy represents the decline of an American institution: industry, art, and healthcare. For the film depicting "The Ultimate Decline of the Industrial Revolution," archival and contemporary footage of the Bethlehem Steel plant were combined in a kind of moving collage. The non-linear, abstract pieces were concocted by Matthew Lotti and John Simone, two local aspiring, young filmmakers.

When asked why the films depict these institutions in a negative light, Mr. Simone replied, "They are not negative. They are mere observations of the decline of these institutions; a look at their past and a look to their uncertain future. They are very much open to interpretation."

The piece involving Bethlehem Steel footage incorporates archival footage of the plant rolling out war material (tanks and guns) for World War II and Bethlehem Steel personnel drilling for possible Nazi air raids. It also combines footage of the rubble of post-World War II Nuremberg, Germany with current footage of the Bethlehem Steel plant rubble.

In addition to the "Ultimate Decline of the Industrial Revolution," the trilogy includes a rather brutal demolition of a piano entitled "The Art of Disassembling a Piano by Hand," and a piece depicting archival footage and modern footage of mental institutions ("Vacancies in the Asylum").

The premiere of the films is a public event and admission is free. They will be screened at the Wired Gallery in Bethlehem, PA this Friday, August 20th at 6:30 PM. For information, visit www. wired-gallery. com or call 610-317-8010.

New Pill Swallowing Cup Takes the Pain Out of Pill Taking for Kids with ADD

New Pill Swallowing Cup Takes the Pain Out of Pill Taking for Kids with ADD

New Oralflo Pill Swallowing Cup™ helps provide relief.

RARITAN, NJ (PRWEB) October 22, 2006

The American Psychiatric Association estimates that 3-7% of children suffer from Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). ADHD and ADD are two of the most common neurobehavioral disorders of childhood and frequently persist into adulthood. In 2003, the Centers for Disease Control estimated that roughly 2.5 million youth ages 4-17 were currently receiving medication for treatment of these disorders. But all to often, swallowing the pills needed to treat the symptoms becomes a battle between the parent and the child.

“Getting any child to take medicine can be a real chore. Add to the problem a child with ADD who finds it difficult to swallow pills and it can seem downright impossible,” says Roger Heilos, founder of Oralflo Technologies.

Often times, says Heilos, parents end up crushing up a pill for the child to take it, which can reduce its effectiveness. Or – even worse – skipping the medication altogether.

"The trick is to give the pill in a manner that allows the child to swallow it without noticing it going down," says Heilos, a former medical products engineer for Johnson & Johnson,. “That’s why I decided to develop a solution that helps.”

Heilos created the Oralflo Pill Swallowing Cup™, which allows anyone to readily accept pills, even the youngest and most stubborn of patients. The cup is a breakthrough medical device, which alleviates the discomfort and anxiety associated with pill-taking and proves itself a vital accessory for doctor's offices, hospitals, schools, day care centers and concerned family members. The cup is a professional healthcare product that is patent pending, trademarked and registered with the FDA as a Class III medical device. It is available at www. oralflo. com for $11.95

Recent research suggests that an effective long-term approach to treating ADHD and ADD may lie in combining medical and behavioral therapies. While each case is unique to the child (or adult); stimulant medications may be prescribed and are considered very safe and effective. The most commonly prescribed medications are Ritalin, Adderrall, Concerta and Dexedrine, which are all commercially prepared as pills.

Because these stimulant medications are not commercially available in liquid form, most patients and families affected by ADHD and ADD were struggling to make sure that daily medications were taken. "With the Oralflo Pill Swallowing Cup, we provide ADD patients with an alternative that is safe and easy to use,” say Heilos.

About Oralflo Technologies (www. oralflo. com)

In 2003, Roger Heilos established Oralflo Technologies, LLC as a result of his creation of the Oralflo Pill Swallowing Cup Medical Products™. Having seen members of his own family suffer the anguish of pill swallowing anxiety and realizing how frequently this problem occurs in children, adults, and the elderly, Heilos was inspired to bring out a product that has the potential to make the lives of so many pill-takers easier.

Oralflo Technologies is located in Raritan, New Jersey.

First of its Kind HSA-FSA Superstore Announces Launch

A new online superstore will soon be offering consumers an easier way to shop for HSA and FSA eligible items. HSA (Health Savings Account) or a FSA (Flexible Spending Account) online store opening in March.

Commerce Township, MI (PRWEB) March 5, 2008

A new online superstore will soon be offering consumers an easier way to shop for HSA and FSA (http://www. hsafsa. com) eligible items. HSA-FSA Superstore, set to launch on March 31, 2008, is a revolutionary shopping experience. Through this online store, which is exclusively HSA and FSA eligible items, shoppers can purchase whatever they want without the worry of whether or not their purchases are covered. No other online drugstore offers this type of service. While other online drugstores may have HSA/FSA categories, HSA-FSA Superstore is the first of its kind to offer only HAS/FSA eligible items. This allows shoppers the peace of mind knowing that all of their purchases are covered.

HSA-FSA Superstore in an online retailer that only sells over the counter (OTC) drugs and home medical equipment that is HSA/FSA eligible. There are no hoops that consumers must jump through, if they have an HDHC Health Insurance Plan with a Health Saving Account (HSA) or a Flexible Spending Account (FSA), then they can shop with confidence because every single item in the store's inventory is HSA/FSA eligible.

"Although all FSA eligible items are available through a number of distribution channels, many consumers forget at the point of purchase to swipe the card, or these items are purchased without regards to the potential pre-tax savings offered on their cards." Says Roger Henkin, founder of the HsaFsa. com. "We solve this problem because we offer only FSA or HSA eligible Over-The-Counter Drugs and Home Medical Equipment."

Individuals with an FSA or HSA debit card are treated to a one stop shop turn key solution to their healthcare needs. This service helps to maximize the utilization of their pre tax benefits as set forth by these plans. Customers will receive top quality service that offers convenience, competitive pricing and outstanding value. The site is also designed to be very customer friendly and very easily navigable. Customers will be able to search for items by brand, category and price, but they will also have the option of special offer purchases and bundling of products which will further maximize their savings and increase their convenience of shopping online. This ground breaking service will additionally save the shopper valuable time due to the ease of searching for items at other retailers or even brick and mortar pharmacies.

While all items that are FSA eligible are typically available through a variety of distribution channels and are purchased daily by millions of people, there is currently no store or retailer that offers these items exclusively. This means that there is no other place on the internet or otherwise that offers consumers the convenience and confidence of shopping at a store that only offers HSA and FSA eligible items. This revolutionary service has the potential to save individuals a great deal of money, not to mention time.

HSA-FSA Superstore will also offer customers a satisfaction guarantee along with a no hassle return policy. If the customer is not satisfied for any reason, the purchase price will be refunded to them, no questions asked. With outstanding, one of a kind service and wide selection within their vast inventory, HSA-FSA Superstore offers customers one stop shopping with convenience and service that exceeds other retailers. The will even offer documentation to substantiate customers' purchases for the IRS as well as annual expenses on those items.

The service and products alone make the HSA-FSA Superstore a gem for customers who rely on these plans for their medical supplies and OTC medications. The groundbreaking vision of an all exclusive HSA and FSA eligible items availability to save consumers time, money and worry is exciting in itself. March 31, 2008 should indeed prove to be a highly anticipated and heralded day when the HSA-FSA Superstore goes live.

Swedish model 'raises' eyebrows

Swedish model 'raises' eyebrows

Swedish model launches innovative website to raise funds for breast implants. Donators go in draw to win a shoot with her and a pro photographer wherever they be in the world!

(PRWEB) September 24, 2004

In contrary to 'Inga from Sweden' style, it appears as if Swedish models do actually have some sense... even business sense. Amazing Linda Peacegrove, as she is known to the international part-time modelling world, has launched an innovative website http://www. getmeboobies. com (http://www. getmeboobies. com) to raise funds for implants - and, she has an alluring twist! One (very lucky) donator will be randomly selected and will be visited by Ms Peacegrove and a professional photographer in his/her home town. The winner and Ms Peacegrove will be photographed together after she has had the implant operation.

"I would like the shoot to be very classy," she said. "The pictures will be touched up and airbrushed as they would in a magazine-style shoot. The winner and I will look great together. Believe me, the graphics programmes available are amazing. It will be something the winner will be able to brag about and show off. I hope, even be proud of."

The 30-year-old Swedish bombshell lost her breast tissue following dramatic weight loss after suffering from Graves' Disease (hyperthyroidism). She subsequently had her thyroid gland removed by what she discribes as a lack-lustre Swedish healthcare system.

"Here's a recent example of our health care system. I scheduled a trip to Florida and managed to get enough shoots to cover my plane ticket. It's called trade-for-prints (TFP) where we don't make any money - enough to cover expenses - but we can build up a portfolio to try and eventually do so. While I was there I was bitten by a dog. I felt woozy two weeks after that and went to a Government-funded hospital. They said I'd be fine and sent me home. It got worse so I went to a private doctor who was in disbelief at the previous assessment and gave me every shot under the sun. Would you have trust in that kind of health care system?"

"They took my thyroid gland out because hyperthyroidism ran in my family. I've since found that most surgeons only remove the sick part of the gland yet in the state hospital I was advised to remove it all as it could come back. It would mean another surgery. I now wonder if it was the cost of another surgery to the state that was the actual driving force behind the advice," said the gorgeous getmeboobies. com girl. "I could go on the waiting list for implants paid for by the state - about two years - but obviously I just don't trust the system anymore. Daily hormones keep my metabolism stable but are a constant reminder of the level of health care we receive here."

"I simply cannot raise the money myself for the operation," said the solo-mother. "The economy is terrible in Sweden at the moment. So many people are on Government funding, I decided to try and do something about it myself and therefore came up with the Web site idea and shoot. I decided to help myself."

But, Ms Peacegrove assured that there is no Swedish Massage associated with the prize.

"No way. I also don't want the Hollywood 'Barbie Doll' version, if you know what I mean. I just want my breasts back. I often see other women have and just feel incomplete. My self esteem has been shattered but I've learnt that you just have to keep going...keep trying. Just because a woman looks beautiful doesn't mean she feels beautiful."

"You would not believe how many models out there aren't happy with the way they look. I'm sure people will roll their eyes at that, but they don't understand. It's a profession to these people and they are being brutally scrutinized every minute, of every day. If they have imperfections they are quickly told about them and there is nothing subtle about the way they are told."

"The site will be by application and only those worthy of help will be accepted. I won't accept someone because they simply want changes. They must have a reason to want to change. Imagine a model who was stunning...really going places. Then imagine a car accident. The scarring would be deeper on the inside than the outside. It's these sort of people I want to help."

And people have begun to give her a hand. Internationally-acclaimed New York artist, Kenneth Hari, has offered one of his sculptures to Ms Peacegrove's cause. The beautiful bust "Beatrice," which is being sold for up to $US12,000 and takes pride of place in numerous celebrity homes, is up for auction on the site. Ms. Peacegrove is hoping the kindness of strangers will perk her up in more ways than one.

Get Your "Sunshine Vitamins" at Planet Tan

Garland, TX (PRWEB) May 9, 2008

Planet Tan, home of Dallas/Fort Worth's premier tanning super centers, and the most respected brand in the industry, announced today that it fully supports the position that the Indoor Tanning Association (ITA) took by placing an ad in USA TODAY touting the benefits of moderate UV Exposure. The ad ran nationally on April 30, 2008 and proclaimed the positive effects of obtaining vitamin D from sunlight.

In the article, Sarah Longwell, ITA Communications Director, was quoted as saying "More science is emerging every day confirming the enormous health benefits of vitamin D and the significant health consequences of not getting enough of it." Recent studies have indicated that vitamin D actually protects against a number of cancers and decreases the risk of heart disease, but that 60% of Americans are vitamin D deficient.

"It is clear that there are many positive effects from soaking up a little sunlight - indoors or outdoors," said Tony Hartl, Founder of Planet Tan. "To get your daily dose of the 'sunshine vitamin' we invite you to visit any one of our 13 locations in the Metroplex and we will help create a little sunshine in your day."
