Springfield, MO (PRWEB) August 30, 2010

Dollar for dollar matching gift doubles your ability to give clean drinking water to those who need it most. Clean and safe water is key to a healthy life. Thousands of communities in Nicaragua are without safe drinking water. An anyonous Rainbow Network donor would like to challenge you to donate to help us build wells, create solar and gravity filters, and get the water flowing in rural Nicaraguan communities. Your gift will be matched dollar for dollar.

The Rainbow Network currently serves nearly 50,000 people in rural Nicaragua partnering with entire communities. Programs in housing, healthcare, education, economic development, sustainable agriculture, and water projects all cohesively serve to empower communities with the tools they need to lift themselves out of poverty.

"If you can literally save a life for a few pennies, why would you not do that?" the donor behind the challenge is reported to have said when asked by Rainbow Network staff what had motivated the gift.

Since its founding in 1995, The Rainbow Network, has grown into an organization supported by individuals, foundations, and congregations throughout the United States.

The Rainbow Network is a 501c3 US nonprofit organization based in Springfield, MO and operating in 118 rural communities throughout Nicaragua.
