New Accessories for StyleView(tm) Point-of-Care Computer Carts Establishes a New Benchmark in Point-of-Care Cart Functionality
Enhancing Workflow in Healthcare Facilities. Ergotron, the leader in mounting equipment in the healthcare industry, now offers compelling accessories for the leading point-of-care cart, StyleView(tm).
(PRWEB) June 16, 2005
The StyleView Cart, a new computer workstation designed to bring mobile, easily adjustable data entry to the point-of-care for clinicians, is now available with several accessory options.
The StyleView CartÂs optional lockable medication drawers are engineered to increase productivity and reduce medical errors. The medication drawers are mounted directly to the back of the cart and are within its small 18Â x 18Â footprint. This new feature facilitates accurate medication administration at the point-of-care and improves workflow by saving extra steps and time. Each drawer is adjustable to fit a wide range of medical supplies from syringes to oral tablets. Other accessory options include a laptop drawer, IV pole and sharps container. All of these options help create a point-of-care cart that is best in form as well as function.
Ergonomically designed with input from nurses and healthcare IT professionals, the StyleView Cart introduces Constant Force (CFÂ) motion technology to healthcare mobile computing. This proprietary technology from Ergotron converts a conventional springÂs linear force curve into a constant flat force through the entire range of lifting motion. CF technology uses lower user forces so that with a fluid one-touch vertical movement, nurses, doctors or other healthcare workers can adjust the StyleView workstation 20-inches straight up and down, ensuring comfortable ergonomic data-entry, whether sitting or standing. The cartÂs open architecture permits the use of any size display up to 25 pounds.
The cart is effortless to maneuver, courtesy of high-performance dual casters designed to provide stable movement on carpet, hard-floors and over thresholds. A generous sized work surface on the cart is convenient for placing items such as charts.
The StyleView CartÂs fabricated parts are aluminum, zinc-plated steel and plastic to prevent rust and provide a durable, easy-to-clean exterior.
The mobile workstation is available in flat panel, laptop or tablet PC versions, all of which offer a UL 60601-1 listed and certified optional AC powered system that can easily accommodate future hardware upgrades and provide lower total cost of ownership.
