(PRWEB) October 5, 2003
Galson Laboratories, a world leader in industrial hygiene air analysis, recently received AIHA-accreditation for environmental microbiological analysis of both mold and bacteria. The company is the first in New York State to achieve this accreditation.
Galson added IAQ/IH microbiology analysis to its growing list of services in August 2002. The company then proceeded through the arduous accreditation process including onsite inspections and round robin quarterly samples submissions. According to the AIHA, accreditation makes Galson Âpart of an elite group of laboratories achieving and maintaining a high level of professional performance.Â
Joe Unangst, Galson Laboratories president, said, ÂWith peopleÂs health and money on the line, we want to provide the highest quality services. EMLAP accreditation assures our customers of accurate, defensible microbiological data.Â
Galson is also one of only nine commercial laboratories in the U. S. to be licensed by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for quantitative real-time PCR analysis, which is DNA-based mold and fungi detection and quantitation technology. It is the only company that lends sampling pumps and peripherals at no cost through the FreePumpLoan program.
Galson Laboratories is headquartered in East Syracuse, N. Y. For more information on Galson Laboratories microbiology and other services call toll-free, (888) 432-LABS, e-mail mail@galsonlabs. com or visit www. galsonlabs. com.
