The Brian Jordan Foundation will be hosting its annual celebrity golf tournament on November 14, 2005. This year’s event will be held at the luxurious St. Ives Country Club in Duluth, Georgia. Over 130 golfers are expected to take part in the full-day fundraiser.

The 18-hole tournament will kick-off at 8:30 A. M. with a silent auction along with registration and breakfast. Golfers tee off at 11:00 A. M. The award ceremony and the close of the silent auction will follow.

“This year’s event will mark a new beginning for the Brian Jordan Foundation and will bring friends, business associates and celebrities together for a common goal of raising funds to provide educational opportunities for our youth,” states Brian Jordan.

Jordan founded The Brian Jordan Foundation in 1998 out of the firm belief that in every child there is the potential for excellence. The vision of the non-profit organization is to provide practical information, tools and a nurturing environment to children, youth and their families. The foundation’s educational program awards scholarships to underprivileged, yet deserving young adults. Through a four core program system which includes advocacy, education, health and wellness as well as research, the Brian Jordan Foundation is successfully improving the quality of life for many.

Since its existence, the foundation has funded scholarships for several college students. It continuously contributes to medical and education facilities such as Grady Health Systems and Hughes Spalding Children’s Hospital as well as Paul Laurence Dunbar Elementary School in Atlanta, Georgia. The foundation also commits to participating in events to assist other organizations in reaching their goals. In September, The Brian Jordan Foundation participated in the second annual, Atlanta-based, HomeAid’s Playhouse fundraiser.

Recently, Brian Jordan was the recipient of this year’s Atlanta Braves Chairman’s Award. He was acknowledged for his community leadership and philanthropic deeds as well as his foundation’s commitment to better the lives of others.
