Market America and Greensboro Begin Preparations for International Convention

Market America and Greensboro Begin Preparations for International Convention

Preperations for large international event begin in Greensboro, N. C.

GREENSBORO, N. C. (PRWEB) July 12, 2005

Every year about this time, the streets of Greensboro are colored red, white and blue. No, it is not a belated Independence Day celebration. It is for Market AmericaÂ’s annual International Convention. This year will be no different.

Come August 4, the Joseph S. Koury Convention Center, Wendover Avenue and the Greensboro Coliseum will once again swim in the colors of Market America, a Greensboro-based Internet marketing company that specializes in One-to-One Marketing and Mass Customization. The company will hold its 13th annual International Convention August 4-7, 2005 at the Greensboro Coliseum.

According to the Greensboro Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, the eventÂ’s attendees annually inject nearly $20 million into the local economy. The four-day event also boasts the largest attendance of any non-sports-related event held at the Greensboro Coliseum.

“As our company continues to grow, so do our events,” said James Ridinger, Market America’s president and CEO. “The Greensboro community has been an important part of the growth of this company and this event. This year’s event will feature the introduction of quite a few new products, world-renowned experts in health and nutrition and even two Olympic athletes bound for the gold at the 2006 Winter Games.”

Market AmericaÂ’s 13th annual International Convention will feature Dr Shari Lieberman, author of the best-selling book The Real Vitamin & Mineral Book, as well as the popular Dare to Lose. Dr. Lieberman is an authority on health, nutrition and well-being. She has been in private practice for more than 20 years, is regularly quoted in numerous womenÂ’s magazines and has appeared on major talk shows and news networks, such as Larry King Live and MSNBC.

Also speaking at the event will be Dr. Steven Lamm, known to millions of television viewers as the house doctor on ABC’s “The View” and a practicing internist and faculty member at the New York University School of Medicine. He is also the author of the just-released men’s health book, The Hardness Factor.

Olympic speedskaters Jennifer Rodriguez, 2005 World Sprint champion and 2002 bronze medalist, and KC Boutiette, three-time Olympian, will also make an appearance at the event. The skaters are sponsored by Market America and preparing to compete in the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Turin, Italy.

All speakers will be available for interviews during the event. Rodriguez and Boutiette will only be available on Wednesday before the event and Thursday, August 4.
