(PRWEB) October 26, 2003

FORT WORTH, TEXAS – (Oct. 24, 2003) Osteopathic Medical Center of Texas will celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine Center on November 3, 2003 at 10:00 a. m. in the V. L. Jennings Outpatient Pavilion at 1001 Haskell Street. Among those participating in the festivities are Fort Worth Mayor Mike Moncrief and U. S. Congresswoman Kay Granger (R-Texas).

The Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine Center is the largest and most advanced wound care center in Tarrant County. The Center features the latest technologies, products and services, including multiplace and monoplace hyperbaric chambers. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is used around the world and has been proven to be effective in patients with chronic, non-healing diabetic wounds, negative effects of radiation therapy on bones and soft tissue and patients suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning.

In addition to the specialized care given to wound care patients, the Center is also actively involved in the ongoing innovative research evaluating the use of HBOT in patients with cerebral palsy and traumatic brain injuries, such as stroke, near drowning, auto accidents, horseback riding accidents and skateboarding accidents.

OMCT recently received an $839,000 grant to study the potential benefits of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) for cerebral palsy. Irvine Prather, D. O., Kelly Grimes, D. O., Director Glenn Hermes and Granger were instrumental in securing funding for the study.

The study will test the hypothesis that HBOT will improve the neurological functioning in cerebral palsy patients. Cerebral palsy is a chronic condition affecting body and/or limb movement and control of muscle tone and coordination. It is caused by an injury to the brain before, during or shortly after birth.

Based on other research and a previous study done at OMCT, the outlook for new possibilities is promising. Children receiving HBOT have reported improvements that include decreased spasticity, improved speech, increased alertness, and improved visual functioning.

The Osteopathic Medical Center of Texas (OMCT) is the largest non-profit osteopathic hospital in Texas. It is the primary teaching hospital for the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas. OMCT is the flagship of The Osteopathic Health System of Texas, a complete provider of osteopathic health care, with more than 400 physicians and eight family medicine clinics and a full complement of other allied health services.

OTTAWA (PRWEB) June 13, 2004

Validian Corporation (OTC: VLDI) today announced that Joe Grace, who has worked as a senior marketing executive in the eHealth sector for several years, has joined the company as Director of its eHealth Practice.

Grace, who brings a wide range of sales and marketing expertise to Validian, will spearhead the companyÂ’s entry into the eHealth market. In addition to his familiarity with the eHealth sector, Grace has worked as President of Global Health Alternatives, Chief Operating Officer for PlasmaNet Inc. and marketing strategist for NV Perricone. Grace was also co-founder of Body Solutions Inc., where he helped to generate $100 million in sales, and served as president of New Regency Films.

“The health industry is under increasing pressure to constrain escalating administrative costs,” said Dr. André Maisonneuve, Validian’s President and CEO. “One way to limit these costs is to move from paper - to web-based systems. However, ethically and under the requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), great care must be taken to ensure that private health information is protected at all times. Unfortunately, many of today’s security solutions, such as SSL, do not provide an adequate level of security; those that do are prohibitively expensive.”

Validian ASI delivers inherent security for all communications between distributed applications, simplifies management of application-to-application communication and provides granular access control to the application-component level. Validian Flash Communicator™ and Secure Instant Messenger (SIM) deliver a simple, cost-effective and rapidly deployed way to ensure the security of communication and file exchange over any IP-based network. On a biometrically enabled USB flash drive, Flash Communicator is the only solution to deliver 3-factor user authentication of static and mobile users and to enable completely secure communication and file transfer regardless of a user’s location.

“ASI has the ability to connect providers, payers and patients online simply, cost effectively and completely securely,” said Grace. “We understand the requirements of HIPAA and can work with health enterprises large and small to deliver a secure environment that is HIPAA-compliant and that can help companies dramatically reduce costs by taking advantage of web-based services.”

The Good Virus – Reovirus’ New Role as Cancer Fighters

The Good Virus – Reovirus’ New Role as Cancer Fighters

A virus named the Respiratory Enteric Orphan virus, or reovirus, has been discovered to have the ability to grow in and kill a broad range of cancer cells without growing in or damaging normal, non-cancerous cells.

Calgary, AB Canada (PRWEB) October 21, 2004

Viruses are undergoing an “extreme makeover” after a long-standing reputation as bothersome and in many cases, lethal to the human body. A virus named the Respiratory Enteric Orphan virus, or reovirus, has been discovered to have the ability to grow in and kill a broad range of cancer cells without growing in or damaging normal, non-cancerous cells.

Oncolytics Biotech’s REOLYSIN®, an experimental, reovirus-based cancer therapy, is able to freely replicate in and kill the host tumor cell. When the cancer cell dies, thousands of progeny viruses are freed, which proceed to infect and kill adjacent cancer cells. This process is believed to continue until all adjacent cancer cells have been infected with the reovirus, according to Brad Thompson, CEO of Oncolytics Biotech. The reovirus cannot grow in healthy cells, therefore normal cells remain healthy.

“REOLYSIN targets these tumors directly and has been shown to be effective in various trials,” says Thompson. Oncolytics has successfully completed two human clinical studies in Canada, and is currently conducting two additional trials: a Phase I intravenous administration trial with the reovirus at the Royal Marsden Hospital in the United Kingdom, and a direct injection brain tumor trial in Canada. Plans are underway for additional trials both in the U. K. and in the U. S.

The science behind the new therapy was discovered at the University of Calgary back in 1998 when researchers were studying how certain viruses grow and multiply. They determined that the reovirus needed an "activated Ras Pathway" in order to be able to grow in and subsequently kill the cancer cell.

The Ras Pathway is instrumental in transferring growth signals to the nucleus of a cell, telling the cell when and how to grow-much like an "on-off" switch. An activated Ras Pathway, which has lost its ability to "turn off," leads to uncontrolled cell growth. An activated Ras Pathway is found in approximately two-thirds of all human cancers.

As the population ages, cancer is expected to surpass cardiovascular disease as the leading cause of death. In fact, half of all men and one-third of all women will develop some form of cancer during their lifetimes. The American Cancer Society estimates that there are currently 8.9 million people in the United States with a history of cancer. For more information, log onto www. oncolyticsbiotech. com.

The New Tech Outsourcing Leaders: Bulgaria, Latvia and Romania?

Brainbench Opens up Testing for the Bench Games: Global Knowledge Testing Program Finds High Concentration of Technical Skills in Eastern Europe

Chantilly, VA (PRWEB) March 28, 2005

An international competition to complete online employment skills certifications has revealed astonishing breadth and diversity in the world’s workforce. The contest currently underway until April 4th, was developed and conducted by Brainbench, the global leader in online skills and employment assessments, to assess job skills and knowledge on a global scale. Dubbed the “Bench Games,” the competition has exceeded all expectations in the first week, with more than 100,000 testing certifications spanning more than 150 countries – from Moldova to the Marshall Islands. They have also shown some surprising results that challenge commonly-held views about concentrations of the world’s technical talent pools:

• Eastern European nations such as Romania, Latvia, Bulgaria, and Belarus lead Western countries such as the U. K., Australia, Germany, and France in total certifications.

• As a percentage of total population, Latvia, Estonia, and Bulgaria lead the world (along with some extremely small nations such as San Marino and American Samoa.) Traditionally tech-savvy nations such as Singapore, Israel, and Sweden score farther down the list.

• Within the U. S., Virginia, Delaware, and Vermont rank highest as a percentage of total population. Oklahoma and Kansas make the top 10, while California, and New York don’t rank in the top half.

• Top-ranking nations include those with Slavic, Arabic, and Turkic majority languages, but very few Asian countries other than English-influenced India, Pakistan and the Philippines.

• As in 2003 and 2004, the United States, India, and the Russian Federation still lead the list in total certifications, while California and Texas are the largest overall within the U. S.

The tests are conducted in English, which according to Brainbench’s President and Chief Executive Officer Mike Russiello creates both limitations and insights. “Much of Eastern Asia – most obviously China – is missing from this picture. Of course that’s partly a test bias due to the English limitation, but many non-English-speaking countries still show up in very high numbers,” said Russiello.

“We’re used to hearing in the press about technology skills being outsourced and concentrated in Asia, primarily India,” continued Russiello. “But considering how relevant English is to things like programming languages, the strong results across nearly all of Eastern Europe are fascinating. Looking at the numbers makes you rethink some of the usual assumptions about the global workforce skills pool. And within the US, it makes you wonder if states with large non-English-speaking populations may eventually be left behind as centers of advanced skills labor sources.”

The contest was created using BrainbenchÂ’s core technologies for online job skill testing and certification. For two weeks, participants worldwide can take online tests of their skills, knowledge, and aptitude in over 400 areas covering a range of Information Technology specialties as well as areas of Finance, Health, Administration, Call Center, Written and Verbal Skills, and General Business Applications. During the contest period, the tests are available free of charge to anyone registering with Brainbench, including their 6 million existing users. Approximately 100,000 tests have been completed in the first week.

Daily Leader Board results are posted on the Brainbench website (www. brainbench. com) showing overall country stats, percentage of population comparisons and soon the individual leaders. Brainbench is planning to release an updated Global Workforce Skills report and analysis of the Bench Games in June 2005. They expect a total of approximately 500,000 test results, including those conducted in 2004. “With five times the sample size,” said Russiello, “we’re really looking forward to what we can learn when we get all the data. One of the findings is sure to be a new perspective on the outsourcing debate.”

Todays Escapes Takes a Look at the Top Spots for Viewing Fall Foliage

Todays Escapes Takes a Look at the Top Spots for Viewing Fall Foliage

Todays escapes helps consumers save money on airfare, rental cars, hotel rooms and other travel needs.

Norwalk, Conn (PRWEB) September 28, 2007

Fans of the term "leaf-peeping" are chomping at the bit for the start of the fall foliage season, reports Todays Escapes (http://www. todaysescapes-program. com/), a top discount travel and entertainment program provided by Adaptive Marketing LLC. And even folks who dislike the term often find themselves enthralled by the colorful change in the landscape as autumn's dropping temperatures begin to turn forests of green into patchwork quilts of red, gold, brown and a variety of other arboreal shades.

Todays Escapes members enjoy access to an Online Travel Agency along with other valuable savings that help lower the costs of travel, lodging and accessories as they gear up for fall vacations, long weekend getaways and other breaks from their daily routines.

Few breaks offer as much natural beauty across so much acreage as you can discover on a jaunt across the prime locations for fall's spectacular fireworks. And you don't have to be an arborist or botanist -- or even a backyard gardener -- to enjoy the dazzling array of colors that autumn brings; you just need your eyesight and a sense of wonder.

Whether you're new to the leaf-peeping game or you're looking to revisit some favorite old stomping grounds, Todays Escapes offers you a few tips on where to find some of the best landscape portraits in the country this fall:

-- Vermont. To outsiders, New Englanders may seem to take too much pride in Mother Nature's leaf-painting abilities, but once you've experienced a Vermont fall, you'll understand why. Starting in mid-September up north and slowly rolling south through the state until the end of October, Vermont's changing hues can leave you searching for new words to describe "red," "golden yellow" and "wow," among other terms.

-- Massachusetts. From seaside vistas to mountainous views, Massachusetts offers you as much variety in your leafy search as anywhere on the planet. You can start your late-September trip in the wooded hills of western Massachusetts and chase the transformation southeast to the tip of Cape Cod in mid-October -- and add a quick trip to Nantucket or Martha's Vineyard for a full oceanic effect.

-- Michigan. By late September, Michigan's Upper Peninsula will be offering a rich panoply of the season's top colors -- red, orange, gold, amber and more -- and savvy leaf fans can make a leisurely trip south through the state to experience the change from summer to autumn tones on a daily basis.

-- Montana. Serious outdoor adventurers can experience the fall foliage against a backdrop of beautiful terrain in Montana, starting in late September. From Custer, Shoshone and Gallatin National Forests to Glacier National Park, Montana's natural landscape is awe-inspiring year-round; adding the autumn palette to the views just increases the payoff that much more.

-- Washington state. The Pacific Northwest has been blessed by Mother Nature's design skills, and the mid-autumn season offers heightened proof of that. Take your pick from a wide selection of mountain ranges -- Mount Rainier, the Cascades, the Selkirk Mountains, the Blue Mountains and more -- then prepare for a visual feast of colors and gradations that will fill up your eyes and, perhaps not so oddly, leave you wanting more.

Autumn is a time of change -- the beginning of a new school year, the end of warm summer climes, a switch in sporting focus from baseball to football, and more -- and few changes are anticipated and embraced as much as the changing of the leaves. If you're looking for an outing that will fill up your senses without draining you of energy, take a trip to a fall foliage hot spot, suggests Todays Escapes (http://www. todaysescapes-program. com/TodaysEscapes_ResourceCenter. html).

National Oncologist Group Warns: Current Health Care Reform Legislation Woefully Short In Addressing Cancer Care Crisis

National Oncologist Group Warns: Current Health Care Reform Legislation Woefully Short In Addressing Cancer Care Crisis

COA Submits Recommendations to President Obama and Congressional Leadership

Washington, D. C. (Vocus) December 12, 2009

The Community Oncology Alliance (COA) today issued a statement warning that oncologists throughout the U. S. may face closing their practices if critical Medicare reimbursement fixes for treating cancer patients are not made as a part of health care reform.

“Current health reform legislation before Congress does not address major inadequacies in Medicare reimbursement and substantial cuts coming in January to cancer care,” said Patrick Cobb, M. D., president of COA and managing partner of Hematology-Oncology Centers of the Northern Rockies in Billings, Montana. “These problems are impacting oncologists now. Many have had to let staff go, and some have already closed practices in communities across the U. S.”

“Released this week, the Annual Report to the Nation on the Status of Cancer highlighted the progress made in treating cancer over the past 30 years. This country’s cancer care system deserves much of the credit for helping cancer patients receive high quality treatment near home, in their own communities,” continued Dr. Cobb. “But this system is under threat if President Obama and Congress do not act before January. These January cuts threaten the viability of the nation’s community cancer care delivery system, where 84% of Americans with cancer are treated, and jeopardize patients’ access to care. ”

In separate letters to President Barack Obama, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, COA president Dr. Cobb submitted a statement approved by the COA Board of Directors, including a six-part recommendation on solving the cancer care crisis. COA noted that the recent financial crisis has exposed the fragility of the health care payment system, with more Americans unable to afford cancer care and falling between the treatment cracks.

In a national call to action, the organization is encouraging oncology professionals and the entire cancer community to contact Members of Congress to request action on these recommendations, starting with the prevention of planned severe Medicare cuts to cancer care. These cuts start in January and continue to increase over the next four years.

“As a nation, we have watched the health care reform legislation evolve over the past year. One issue we have not heard much about -- and not through lack of trying -- is legislation for the reform of cancer care,” continued Dr. Cobb. “Although there are certain positive aspects of reform relating to insurance coverage, the proposed legislation comes up woefully short in addressing a growing cancer care crisis. ”

Prior to Congress embarking on health reform legislation, a national team of oncologists spent more than a year researching and developing a plan to improve the Medicare payment system for cancer care. This initiative resulted in collaborating with members of Congress, now embodied in the National Cancer Care Demonstration Project Act of 2009 (H. R. 3675).

Dr. Cobb noted, “Because of the timing of the health care reform debate, we’re concerned that progress in funding and implementing this very specific national project is too slow to stop the impact of the upcoming January cuts.”

The organization has issued a six-part recommendation, which includes immediate action:
1. Enact real-world solutions to enhancing quality cancer care while controlling costs by including the National Cancer Care Demonstration Project Act of 2009 (H. R. 3675) in health care reform legislation.
2. Stop implementation of Medicare reimbursement cuts to cancer care, especially the payment reduction to cancer drug administration.
3. Stop the 2010 21.2% Medicare reimbursement payment cut affecting all physician-related services and fix the broken Medicare payment system based on the SGR formula.
4. Stop cutting cancer care reimbursement further by using cuts to pay for primary care bonuses.
5. Fix the problem of artificially low Medicare drug reimbursement by including the “prompt pay” solution in health care reform legislation.
6. Eliminate the 20% Medicare patient co-payment requirement for cancer drugs.

A full statement is listed the organization’s web site (www. communityoncology. org).

“The War on Cancer, declared almost 40 years ago, has resulted in increased survival for Americans with cancer and has transformed many cancers from a death sentence to a chronic disease,” continued Dr. Cobb. “However, the cost of cancer is still in excess of $220 billion annually and it claims the life of one American every minute. Congress must act now as health care reform legislation is being debated because the risk of getting this wrong is too great, both as measured in medical costs and the lives of Americans.”

About Community Oncology Alliance (COA)
COA is a non-profit organization dedicated solely to community oncology. COA was founded by community oncology to advocate for patients and providers in the community oncology setting, where 84 percent of Americans with cancer are treated. In only six years of existence, COA has mobilized community oncology to become more politically active, and increased awareness on Capitol Hill about the community cancer care delivery system. Additionally, COA has brought together community oncology practices from across the country to share information in order to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the cancer care they provide to their patients.

Currently, COA is working with the Congress in providing proactive solutions designed to protect the viability of the nation’s cancer care delivery system and patients' access to quality, affordable cancer care. The cancer death rate in the U. S. has declined due to earlier detection, the quality of treatment, and the accessibility of cancer care. However, according to the American Cancer Society, men still have an approximately one in two lifetime risk of developing cancer, with a risk of one in three for women. Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) April 7, 2010

The Water Matters! Global Water Conference will be held on Thursday, June 3, at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. The United Nations Environment Programme appointed Pittsburgh the North American Host for World Environment Day 2010, and the Water Matters! conference will be the marquee event held along with other environmentally themed initiatives occurring between Earth Day on April 22 and leading up to World Environment Day on June 5.

The daylong conference will include keynote speeches and panel discussions on water-based topics highlighting our dependence on water for public health, energy and economic prosperity, as well as education about water innovations and applied technologies. The lineup of world-class speakers and panelists will substantiate this conference as a milestone in the region's overall strategy for elevating protection, conservation, and innovations around water as a core regional strategy for competitiveness. Among the scheduled speakers are Dr. Mike Magee of healthy-waters. org, Carl Safina of the Blue Ocean Institute, and Jim Rogers of Duke Energy.

The conference will conclude with a networking reception and exhibition that highlights innovative solutions to water and biodiversity challenges, particularly those relevant to our region.

“With the convergence of our three rivers, water has always played a vital role in the economic vitality of our region, whether it is through industry or recreation,” said Allegheny County Executive Dan Onorato. “As the North American hosts of World Environment Day, we will celebrate the progress we’ve made in reducing our ecological footprint and creating policies and programs to further promote sustainable practices. For Her Information Publisher Featured in New 'Chicken Soup for the Soul: Power Moms' Alongside Jodi Picoult, Jillian Barberie-Reynolds and Liz Lange; Book Set to Hit Amazon. com and Local Bookstores March 24th

Chicago's own high-profile Power Mom, Beth Aldrich, is featured in Jack Canfield's latest book, "Chicken Soup for the Soul: Power Moms," which features 101 essays from amazing women. Beth's emotional essay takes us to a place we've all been: at the brink of losing it all only to find she's gained much more: the support and love of her family.

Chicago, Illinois (PRWEB) March 16, 2009

When publisher of Chicago's For Her Information magazine, Beth Aldrich, discovered that her essay was set to appear in Jack Canfield's "Chicken Soup for the Soul: Power Moms," she was excited. But when she found out that leading women like Liz Lange (maternity clothing designer), Jillian Barberie-Reynolds (co-host of Good Day LA) and Jodi Picoult (best-selling novelist) also would have published essays in the book, she was overjoyed.

"Being among the company of such powerful moms has made me realize that, at the end of the day, all moms from all walks of life find being a Power Mom joyful, rewarding and challenging!" says Aldrich.

In Aldrich's emotional essay, "It Happened in an Instant," she describes how it took a near-fatal collision to remind her about the importance of family. She writes, "What that accident on the snowy January day gave me was a sharp reminder that by simply loving and being with your kids, you are a Super Mom. Regardless of how many plates you keep spinning in the air, your children will love you for just being you, for being there, not somewhere else."

"Chicken Soup for the Soul: Power Moms," (Simon & Schuster 2009) contains 101 essays written by "Power Moms" across the country, including essays from New York Times best-selling author Jane Green, Mary Himes, wife of Congressman Jim Himes, and Lynne Spears, Britney Spears' mother. The book is edited by Wendy Walker, the author of "Four Wives" and "The Queen of Suburbia."

The book will be available for purchase on Amazon. com and local bookstores starting March 24.

More information about Aldrich is available on her website at http://www. forherinformation. com (http://www. forherinformation. com).

United Hebrew of New Rochelle Nurse Takes Part in Haiti Relief

United Hebrew of New Rochelle Nurse Takes Part in Haiti Relief

A compassionate, highly skilled United Hebrew of New Rochelle home health care nurse joined the international effort to help earthquake victims in Haiti. Her expertise working with chronically ill patients and knowledge of French helped her care for the devastating injuries suffered by the people in her ancestral home.

New Rochelle, NY (Vocus) March 26, 2010

When Regine Jean-Pierre, a Haitian-American nurse at United Hebrew of New Rochelle’s long-term home health program, heard news of the devastating January 12th earthquake in Haiti, she imagined her experience in working with ill patients and her knowledge of Creole and French might be useful in her ancestral home. But she could not find the courage to go there, until organizers from her religious organization called for medical volunteers a few weeks after the quake.

Taking a two-week leave from her job at United Hebrew of New Rochelle’s long-term home health program, Regine paired up with her mother, a nurse raised in Haiti, to join a team of doctors and nurses traveling last month from locations around the U. S. to the Dominican Republic. They brought along wound-care products and emergency medical supplies. After riding six hours by bus to Port-au-Prince, the volunteers began wound-care triage in a make-shift, one-room clinic in an office building, close to the earthquake’s epicenter.

Working three years as a long-term care home health nurse at United Hebrew of New Rochelle’s Westchester, NY campus, which includes a new nursing home and rehabilitation center, independent living and home health care services, Regine helps patients deal day-to-day with illness or recovery. What she has learned at United Hebrew about caring for the chronically ill was extra-ordinarily valuable on site in Haiti. But Regine never imagined the extent of pain and suffering she would witness in the aftermath of the quake. Most of her patients had severe wounds, such as head injuries caused by the impact of cement ceilings that fell in the quake; others, whose crushed arms or legs had to be amputated, needed constant wound care and dressing changes. A young girl, whose right arm had been amputated, needed help coping with that loss and re-learning how to write.

“The patients were so appreciative,” Regine says. “We helped them with their psychological wounds as much as their physical wounds.” Her knowledge of French and Creole was especially useful, for example, in explaining to patients how pain and antibiotic medications work.

“We are so proud of Regine and her dedication to helping the people of Haiti,” said Rita Mabli, President and CEO of United Hebrew. “She represents the truly caring and committed staff we have here at United Hebrew.”

Regine was struck by the heart-breaking conditions in Port-au-Prince. The tent cities do not shield people from rain, there are few if any toilet facilities, clean water is rarely available, and long lines at banks make it difficult for people to retrieve any money wired to them from relatives abroad. Thieves would prey on businesses by starting tsunami rumors and then robbing hastily evacuated buildings. She hopes her own aunt, who lives in Haiti and has begun the immigration process, will soon be able to join family members in the U. S.

Despite their trials, Regine’s Haitian patients impressed her with their resilience and strength. A 15-year-old boy had been trapped under rubble, was covered in blood from a huge wound, and was suffering from severe infections, but he insisted that Regine teach him how to care for his own wound. The power of the Haitians to rebound and recover has given this American-born nurse a new perspective on her life here. “The Haitians have nothing. There is not one person who was not affected. The rich and poor are all living together in tent cities; they are all trying to get back on their feet,” Regine observed. “We need to appreciate what we have. Do not get attached to things, because things will not last. This kind of disaster could happen anywhere.”

As one of the many dedicated nurses and medical care professionals on staff at United Hebrew of New Rochelle, Regine exemplifies the culture of care and concern that prevails at this premiere not-for-profit residential complex offering multi-level services for seniors. United Hebrew is located at 391 Pelham Road, New Rochelle, New York 10805. For further information, please contact Linda Forman at 914.632.2804 x1224 or visit http://www. uhgc. org.

Cure Bad Breath Forever Using Household Ingredients

Cure Bad Breath Forever Using Household Ingredients

Eliminate Your Bad Breath Forever Even If Everything Else You Have Tried Has Failed. Long-time Bad Breath Suffer and Author Tommy Kavanagh Shows You Exactly How You Can Eliminate Your Bad Breath Using His Proven 4 Step Plan, Two Dirt-Cheap Household Ingredients and Applying 3 Minutes a Day.

Raleigh, NC (PRWEB) February 19, 2005

Author Tommy Kavanagh, was a chronic Bad Breath sufferer who had tried every over-the-counter cure he could to alleviate his Bad Breath problem, but nothing worked. So he decided to find a cure himself. He spent 3 years of his life (and almost $3000 of his own money) researching for a cure, before he finally found the solution of curing, not only his Bad Breath, but others too.

Kavanagh found that most Bad Breath problems could be cured using only two simple ingredients that you probably already have in your kitchen. In fact the ingredients can be found in any drug store, it can be purchased without a prescription and can last up to a month. It is very inexpensive and a months supply would only cost $0.99.

Now combine Kavanagh’s special solution with his 4 step plan and you have a winning formula in getting rid of Bad Breath forever.

His continues to sell more of his product for three reasons, it actually works, the plan is easy to follow, and the ingredients are freely available and inexpensive.

Many suffers start seeing results immediately after using only one application.

"I have been following the 4 steps and I think I am seeing some results. It is extremely easy and I only have one complaint: I wish I had found your website before I spent all that money at Breath Appeal." – Testimonial

Even long time sufferers of Bad Breath have cured their Bad Breath problems using Kavanagh’s techniques.

"I have been struggling with halitosis for 30 YEARS and was laughing as I read the report... you were talking to me like you had first-hand knowledge of ALL the things I have been through, all the gum, mints EVERYthing I have uselessly spent money on trying to fix this problem! I downloaded the report on Tuesday August 26 and started the routine that night before I went to bed! You were right in that I already had ALL the ingredients I needed right there at home (including the tongue scraper that I thought was useless but now know it must be used in conjunction with something else in order to WORK)! I felt the difference immediately even though it was one application.

As O woke up this morning, I checked my breath immediately (that being my true test) but even before that, I could TASTE the difference! After only ONE application all I can say is "WOW"!!!” – Testimonial.

Http://just106info. info (http://just106info. info) offers Kavanagh’s report.

Kavanagh’s report covers a wide range of solutions to curing Bad Breath, complete with a section on which "trigger foods" could be triggering your Bad Breath (these are not just the obvious ones you know about). By simply cutting down on these foods could be all you need to make your problem vanish into thin air.

Learn a scientifically proven (but little-known) secret ingredient that freshens your breath in seconds, by rapidly normalizing acid levels in your mouth. You can get this easily from health food stores everywhere. See page 15 of Kavanagh’s report.

Learn how you can slash your bad breath in half, simply by drinking the right amount of water every day. Be careful not to follow the wrong advice on how much water to drink. Just follow the simple guide on page 3 of Kavanagh’s report.

Also learn how to use your body's own natural "immune booster" to dissolve away your bad breath in 3 minutes flat. See page 11 of Kavanagh’s report. This keeps your breath so cool and fresh for the rest of the day.

About http://just106info. info (http://just106info. info)

Kavanagh’s report shows you exactly how to eliminate your Bad Breath problem, by providing you with what ingredients are needed to create the cure, and a simple step-by-step plan to rid you of Bad Breath forever.

Kavanagh’s doesn’t leave you hanging either, he is so sure he can cure your Bad Breath problems that he offers a double your money-back-guarantee if you are at all unhappy with the report. Not only that, he also offers you his own email address so that he can provide you with a one on one consultation absolutely free.

Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts Pack Teddy Bears for Peace for Iraqi Orphans

The American Health Association, an award winning non-profit community service organization, through its "American Volunteer Corps" has collected 25,000 beanie babies, Teddy Bears, dolls and stuffed animals for the Orphans of War Campaign in Iraq. On Saturday, March 19, 2005 at Heritage Park West in Delray Beach, Florida, the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts will roll up their sleeves and pack the stuffed toys for shipment.

(PRWEB) March 17, 2005

"These Teddy Bears are symbols of that love, compassion and hope of the American people for a better tomorrow from all Americans", said Lt. Colonel Bob Weinstein, Chairman for the Orphans of War Campaign and a member of the American Health Association. "I believe that Americans have the best interest in mind for the Iraqi people and really want to address their legitimate needs. There is a connection between a better tomorrow for Iraq and a better tomorrow for America."

"It makes sense to build on the generosity of the Americans and attempt to give the orphans of Iraq a sense of hope and love that there is a better future ahead," said Rob Gordon, Executive Director of American Health Association. "

The last two decades in Iraq's history have brought civil war with the Kurds, conflicts with neighboring Iran, the invasion of Kuwait, the Gulf War and the aftermath of international sanctions. Now, the American liberation and the resultant insurgency or civil war has left thousands of innocent babies and tots without mothers and fathers. "While Teddy Bears can't win the war, it could win the hearts with some kindness for those left orphaned by the liberation of Iraq" said Weinstein.

Major Stephan Stewart of the Iraqi Assistance Center in Baghdad will coordinate the distribution in Iraq.

The American Volunteer Corps is part of the American Health Association. The American Volunteer Corps is still looking those who would like to adopt a box to cover the cost of packing, shipping and transport. Adopt a box of stuffed toys for $100. Email Marketing Service AWeber Defies Recession, Increases Customer Base By More Than 65%

Email Marketing Service AWeber Defies Recession, Increases Customer Base By More Than 65%

Privately held email service provider leaps from 30,000 to 50,000 customers, hires 54% more employees, plans move to larger office.

Newtown, PA (PRWEB) January 5, 2009

AWeber Communications, a leading provider of permission-based email marketing software (http://www. aweber. com), announced its active customer base has just surpassed over 50,000 businesses worldwide.

In spite of the recession that has plagued the U. S. economy since December 2007, privately held AWeber has added customers at a healthy pace. The company reported surpassing 30,000 active customers in January 2008 and continued to attract new business throughout the year, passing the 50,000-customer mark in mid-December 2008.

"With small businesses stretching every available dollar for maximum return, utilizing email marketing (http://www. aweber. com) to keep in touch with customers and prospects makes a lot of sense in this economy," said Tom Kulzer, CEO and Founder of AWeber.

As the company has grown, so has its need for quality, locally-based employees. In 2008 AWeber hired 13 Philadelphia-area professionals to fill its web development and customer service needs.

The continued expansion of AWeber's customer base and team has led the company to seek larger offices. AWeber recently signed a long-term lease on a 24,000 square foot space in Huntingdon Valley, PA and will move from their current 4,500 square foot office in Spring 2009.

"We're thrilled to be relocating into our much larger space and take advantage of our new on site training facilities and better team meeting areas," added Kulzer. "We're also excited about expanding our recreation and relaxation areas (http://www. aweber. com/careers. htm) to include a larger game room and a larger lunch room for enjoying our daily catered lunches."

After moving to the new office, which is designed to support up to 150 employees, the company expects to hire additional team members from local communities.

"At AWeber, we strive to over deliver value in all that we do for our customers and our employees," Kulzer said. "This enables customer businesses to grow, which grows our business and benefits the local economy by providing quality jobs."

"Having grown our team by 54% in 2008, we're excited about making an additional 30+ local jobs available and continuing to build our talented team in 2009."

HRchitect Names Ron Hanscome VP of HCM Technology Strategy Practice

HRchitect Names Ron Hanscome VP of HCM Technology Strategy Practice

HRchitect, the premier HCM systems strategic planning consulting firm, today announced the appointment of industry veteran Ron Hanscome as Vice President of HCM Technology Strategy Consulting.

Frisco, TX (PRWEB) October 4, 2007

HRchitect, the premier HCM systems strategic planning consulting firm, today announced the appointment of industry veteran Ron Hanscome as Vice President of HCM Technology Strategy Consulting.

As Vice President of HCM Technology Strategy Consulting and a member of the executive team, Hanscome will lead a team of highly talented and experienced consultants in the highest growth practice at HRchitect. Hanscome and his team will work with companies in reviewing their HR systems and processes and in developing HCM technology strategies that outline strategy, vision and objectives for HR technology throughout an organization.

"We had a growing need for a dedicated, strong person with market presence and knowledge to take our HCM Technology Strategy practice to the next level," stated Dan Katavola, VP of Consulting Services and co-founder of HRchitect. "The consulting team that we have at HRchitect is what really sets us apart from our competition. Ron adds a tremendous amount of value and real-world experience as we continue to set standards for the industry when it comes to HR and Talent Management Systems strategic planning consulting."

"Ron's breadth of experience makes him the right person to lead the HCM Technology Strategy practice and further our role as innovators and leaders in this market," added Rick Fletcher, President and co-founder of HRchitect. "As we continue to grow and scale our operations, it is important that we have proven veterans on board who can focus on our continued growth and development as a world class consulting organization. Ron brings a unique perspective, intellect and experience set that will give us opportunities to assist more companies than ever before with our consulting services."

Hanscome has over 23 years of experience in the Human Capital Management software and consulting services industries, having served as a practitioner, consultant, software executive, and industry analyst. He has provided leading-edge consulting services for numerous organizations including Barclays Global Investors, Mayo Clinic, Bank of Oklahoma, Texans Credit Union, and Tishman-Speyer.

"I am very pleased to join HRchitect and take responsibility for growing our HCM Technology Strategy practice," said Ron Hanscome. "I have watched HRchitect's growth over the past few years and am impressed by its clear distinction and recognition as the market leader in Talent Management Systems consulting services. Their leadership presence is further evidenced by their 10 years in business and more than 400 projects they have completed with a "Who’s Who" of companies throughout the world."

Prior to joining HRchitect, Hanscome led Oracle’s HCM Applications Marketing team, serving as a thought leader and evangelist for Oracle’s HCM product lines. He was also Senior Program Director with META Group, an IT research and advisory firm, where he authored over forty pieces of industry shaping HCM research. In addition, Hanscome worked as an HRMS practitioner with United Health Group and Medtronic, as a consultant with Watson Wyatt, and as a software vendor executive with Ceridian Employer Services and Lawson Software.

"What really excites me about this opportunity," continued Hanscome, "is that I’ve encountered so many organizations over the years that operate in silos, where one part of HR doesn’t know what other HR functions or business groups are doing. Without our help, the typical evaluation and selection of HCM systems is myopically focused on individual or department needs rather than enterprise-wide needs, goals and objectives. HRchitect is positioned to make a true difference for our clients."

About HRchitect

Services include the selection, implementation and integration of Human Resource Information Systems, Talent Acquisition Systems, Performance Management, Succession Planning, Career Planning, Compensation Management, e-Learning and Competency Management Systems.
