KidScopes are horoscopes that help moms understand how current planetary energies will affect their children during the upcoming month. More prescriptive than predictive, these unconventional forecasts offer insight and guidance for addressing behavioral, emotional and even physical dynamics that their children may be experiencing.
Kidscopes grew out of TCMG founder's quest to understand her own child. Christine Agro, who is a clairvoyant and spiritual teacher, as well as mom to her five-year-old son, Caidin, has been fascinated by the impact planetary action has on him. Agro began noticing dramatic personality shifts in Caidin as early as eight months old. As she tracked the shifts, she recognized that they coincided with the planet Mercury moving into retrograde. Mercury retrograde occurs three, sometimes four times a year and astrologers will tell you it is a time when communications, technology and travel becomes unreliable and unstable. Agro describes Caidin's shift as one from generally gentle, loving and easy-going to aggressive, argumentative and contradictory. "The shift," Agro says, "is even noticeable in his appearance. His face changes from soft to very angular."
After observing this recurring dynamic in her son, she began asking other parents if they noticed similar shifts. They had. Agro then consulted with astrologer Kathy Biehl to see how much merit might be in this notion that the planets impact our children's behavior, emotions and even health. Biehl verified what Agro had been witnessing and also offered insight and guidance for helping Caidin through these phases.
