Raxco Software Sets All-Time Records for Sales of PerfectDisk® Version 8

Latest disk defragmentation tool in high demand.

Gaithersburg, MD (PRWEB) September 28, 2006

Raxco Software, the leader in disk defragmentation software, announced today that its latest defragmentation software, PerfectDisk® Version 8, has shattered the nearly 30-year-old company’s all-time records for single-day downloads and online sales, racking up a 240 percent increase over the same two-week period following the launch of Version 7.

Immediately following the introduction of PerfectDisk Version 8 on September 12, Raxco recorded the highest level of ecommerce revenue it has ever earned in a single day, pulling in 68 percent more than its previous high. The company has already smashed its sales record for online revenues for a single month, before September is over. In addition, PerfectDisk downloads set an all-time single-day record on the day of the launch, with a 64 percent increase over its previous single-day high, and thousands of visitors from six continents flooding the Raxco web site within an hour of the launch.

“Right out of the gates, the sales performance of PerfectDisk Version 8 has exceeded even our own expectations,” said Robert Nolan, president and ceo of Raxco Software. “We developed this product according to the detailed input of our customers, and the overwhelmingly positive response we’ve had from new and existing customers tells us we’ve hit the nail on the head in terms of functionality and value.”

Winner of the just-announced 2006 Windows IT Pro Magazine’s Readers’ Choice award, PerfectDisk answers the unique needs of users in the enterprise, SMB and home office environments. For IT managers in large enterprise environments, the new Command Center provides a dashboard view of all servers and PCs being managed. Other key new features include:
