Hillsdale, MI (PRWEB) April 13, 2006

As an educator, I have experienced children who had no self-esteem, no real desire to be successful because no one expected anything from him or her. Yet other students were driven by their own desire for success and their desire to live up to parental expectations. No matter how these children saw themselves I always looked for the best in them.

All these children had an effect on my life and my effectiveness as a parent. One child I will never forget was Richard. His mother’s boyfriends had abused him for his entire life. In his life, he thought hitting was a sign of affection. In addition, there was James who did not speak, because he did not feel anyone cared what he said. The first time he spoke in my class the whole class was shocked. He was upset with them because they wouldn’t volunteer answers to the questions, so he did. This child was amazing to me. Due to health issues his life expectancy was 15 and he was already 15. His mom sent him to school dirty, probably because it was so much work to bathe him. I admired this child because no matter how bad life became, giving up was not an option. These two young men had a physical mother but not a mom they could rely on.

Mom is such an important word, and means different things to different people. Some see mom as a strong authority figure, others see her as the woman who was there when needed and others have negative feelings toward that women who raised them. However we describe this person in our lives, we know that she has had a big influence on who we are and what we may become.

Our goal at Hire A Mom is to help those who did not have that strong figure in their lives and now are struggling to succeed as parent, employee or spouse. The direction that a mother or father gives is unparalleled by any other person. When that guidance is missing the faith in their own decisions wavers; it is our goal to help them start making well-informed decisions.

Why ask for advice on buying a car or home? Why not simply go to the salesperson? The answer is quite simple; they are out to sell you what they have available, what will make them the most money. Not all of them are concern for your best interests. Our representatives are not out to sell you anything; they are here to give you well thought-out advise.

Hire A Mom is designed to help with those big events in your life. We are here to help you plan weddings and showers, help you set-up your home, or organize your life, home or office.

About Hire A Mom:

Sheila Rae continues in her passion for old-fashioned family values. She speaks to schools, women’s, as well as Christian and community groups about the importance of family time. Many of her programs focus around cooking and having family mealtime. She feels this special time allows for a free flow of non-pressured communication. Sheila says she is fortunate to have her strong family values. However, family structures have changed and children are normally the most affected by the changes. We have designed a service for those who do not have someone to ask life’s most important questions.
