Multi-Million Dollar Montecito Clubhouse Unveiled for Del Webb Orlando

Multi-Million Dollar Montecito Clubhouse Unveiled for Del Webb Orlando

Facility focuses on active lifestyle for Baby Boomers; re-grand opening to be held Saturday, June 26.

Davenport, FL (PRWEB) June 22, 2010

Del Webb, the nation’s leading brand for active adult communities, unveiled its plans for the Montecito Clubhouse at Del Webb Orlando (http://delwebb. com/communities/fl/davenport/la-cresta-by-del-web/index. aspx) in Davenport, Fla. Construction is already underway with completion slated for early 2011.

In typical Del Webb fashion, the clubhouse has been designed to make a statement, and according to Scott Campbell, the division president for Central Florida operations of Del Webb, “the Montecito Clubhouse will be an active adult oasis.”

Conducting extensive research over its 50-year history has helped the Del Webb brand develop a unique understanding of the Baby Boomer generation and establish lifestyle-based communities featuring premier locations, unsurpassed amenities and programming, and award-winning homes. And, Del Webb Orlando is no exception.

“For us, it’s more than just providing an over-the-top recreational and social experience,” explains Campbell. “Our commitment is to offer our residents a world class gathering place to expand their horizons and engage in life in new and exciting ways.”

In their aim of providing residents a facilitated lifestyle, the amenities in a Del Webb community are unlike any other.

“The key to any community with the Del Webb name is that we do the homework to know what the Baby Boomer generation really wants,” explains Sean Strickler, vice president of sales for Central Florida operations of Del Webb. “Our residents really do dictate what we offer, that is why we call it a facilitated lifestyle – we want to facilitate any sport, club or activity they desire.”

The 30,800-square-foot Montecito Clubhouse

The Montecito Clubhouse at Del Webb Orlando will feature many of the resort-style amenities Del Webb communities are known for across America. The 30,800 square-foot amenity will house numerous amenities including: a fully staffed, state-of-the-art recreation and fitness center with indoor walking track, aerobics studio, billiards, social café and library, arts and crafts area, classrooms, grand ballroom, indoor pool and spa.

Situated on 12 acres and surrounded by great natural beauty with a lake pavilion and scenic lake views, the outdoor amenities surrounding the recreation and fitness center will include a lifestyle outdoor pool, outdoor spa, two tennis courts, four bocce ball courts, four pickleball courts, four horseshoe pits, basketball court, an outdoor fire pit, walking trails, dog park, and amphitheatre.

“Whereas the old, traditional view of a retirement community may invoke images of rocking chairs and sipping lemonade, a Del Webb community is nothing like that. It’s very active; very much focused around physical activity and expanded horizons,” added Strickler. “It’s truly a community where the lifestyle is incorporated into the community, allowing the people living there to enjoy a wide variety of activities -- fitness, social activities, coordinated trips to the local theater or ballgame. All of these things, you can’t get at a traditional community.”

There’s more to the community than an impressive amenity package, the community is tucked away among pristine lakes and the picturesque 18-hole Ridgewood Lakes golf course. Additionally, the community was also designed to optimize the beauty of the natural amenities, like Salinas Lake, comprised of approximately 30 acres of natural wetlands, where residents can fish or enjoy a beautiful Central Florida sunset from the Sunset Pavilion.

Above and beyond the long-list of amenities that Del Webb Orlando will offer, to help truly facilitate the lifestyle desired by active adults, the community will have an on-site lifestyle director and health and fitness professionals to accommodate resident-driven interests in health, fitness, continuing education, local philanthropy and any number of hobbies and special interests.

While amenities and lush landscapes will be the most visible differentiators for Del Webb Orlando, a variety of housing options will also be abundant. The community will consist of several home collections consisting of detached single family designs ranging in size from approximately 1,400 to 2,200+ square feet, priced from the mid $150s to the mid $200s.

The amenity center is expected to grand open in spring 2011.

The official grand opening of Del Webb Orlando is planned for Saturday, June 26th at the newly decorated sales center with special pricing, incentives, and model tours.
