Mark Austin to Build Partnerships and Integration Strategies with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Vendors for QRS Diagnostic, Developer of Computer Card Medical Devices

QRS Diagnostic, leader in innovative design and development of software-based medical devices in computer cards, has hired Mark Austin in the new position of business development manager, integrated solutions. “When our computer card medical devices are integrated with electronic medical record systems, diagnostic data automatically becomes part of the medical record. This provides greater functionality and value for physicians using EMRs,” says Spencer Lien, chief executive officer, QRS Diagnostic. “With Mark’s background in both software engineering and strategic sales, he will secure and advance opportunities for QRS to integrate our devices into EMRs and thereby create new business channels.”

Prior to joining QRS, Austin was the founder and chief technology officer of VOcX Software, developer of software that defines customer requirements and priorities for product features. He previously served as an account executive for Informix Software and a senior sales engineer with Red Brick, and he began his IT career as a senior systems analyst with Synoptics. Austin was also a commercial banker with Citibank for six years. He holds a bachelorÂ’s of arts degree in economics from St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minn.
