Research Triangle Park, NC (PRWEB) May 31, 2004

Mi-Co, the mobile data capture company, announced today that their participation in the Anoto Functionality Conference includes an address by Dr. Greg Clary, Mi-Co Chief Technology Officer. Over 60 technology companies from around the world are attending the two-day conference in Ystad, Sweden. These companies have come together to examine the latest trends in digital writing technology and review advances in Anoto functionality

Dr. ClaryÂ’s presentation will include details of major customer driven enhancements in Mi-CoÂ’s latest software release, Mi-Forms Version 4. Additionally, the address will include highlights of the Mi-Forms implementation at the Boston Public Health CommissionÂ’s Healthy Baby/Healthy Child Program. This project is the latest in a growing number of implementations in the United States using a combination of Mi-Co software and Anoto Functionality in diverse mobile data capture scenarios.

“It is extremely exciting to be presenting at this conference,” stated Greg Clary, CTO of Mi-Co, “and I look forward to highlighting the real-world use of Mi-Forms technology for mobile data capture. Mi-Co’s work on specific implementations continues to demonstrate the efficiency and effectiveness that enterprises will attain using digital writing solutions.”

Claritza Abreu, Director of Information Systems Services within the Boston Public Health Commission, commented on the Mi-Forms project: “The quick and secure processing of client data and the accurate and efficient reporting of information are two of the critical challenges we face in our home-visiting programs. We feel an assessment of state-of-the-art digital writing technology is warranted and this new technology will give our staff more time to focus on patient care, instead of data entry.”

Mi-Co, an Anoto alliance partner, develops enterprise strength mobile data capture solutions and has products in its portfolio that support AnotoÂ’s functionality and capabilities. Anoto Group AB, which is hosting the conference, is a Swedish hi-tech company with unique solutions both for transmission of handwritten text from paper to digital media and for scanning of printed text.
