London, England (PRWEB) February 5, 2006

Rob Hailstone, CEO of HIPAG Services Ltd, the Independent HIP Group, is delighted to announce that Hugh Dunsmore-Hardy, the former Chief Executive of the National Association of Estate Agents, has joined as a Non-Executive Director.

Announcing the appointment, Rob Hailstone commented: “Having Hugh on board is a fantastic opportunity for HIPAG. We will be able to expand our knowledge, experience, and now the expertise to enhance what has already become an industry phenomenon - a group of like minded professionals who will not sit back and let the larger players dominate the HIP market.”

Formed over eighteen months ago, HIPAG was an action group with a handful of members. Today, it has now grown to become a thriving business with over 500 members - a healthy mix of solicitors, estate agents and surveyors/home inspectors.

Chief executive of the NAEA from 1994 to 2002 and a former president, Mr Dunsmore-Hardy has been an enthusiastic advocate of Home Information Packs for many years and has played a prominent role in developing key elements of the HIP. In addition to running his own consultancy, Hugh Dunsmore-Hardy is Chairman of the Transitional Board behind the formation of the National Association of Licensed Home Inspectors, (NALHI) an emerging trade body for this new profession.

Speaking about his appointment, Mr Dunsmore-Hardy added: “Independent estate agents, like the high street solicitor, will not sit back and accept a corporate dominated approach to the supply of HIPs. In fact, the more I learned about HIPAG, it’s concept and ethos, the more I realised that what was being proposed was not just common sense but good business sense.

HIPAG builds on the long-standing working relationships between estate agents and the conveyancer, where local knowledge will be an invaluable asset in HIP preparation and resolving queries - a quick pack, that will enable marketing, followed by a comprehensive pack, to enable faster conveyancing. Like many good ideas, the simple ones are the best!”

He continued: “HIPAG Services Ltd is poised to become one of the leading independent HIP providers and with the support and backing of OyezStraker, a £160m group company, I have no doubt that something that was once a vision, will become a reality. HIP production is not for the faint-hearted and requires a first class IT and distribution infrastructure. Rob and his team are fully geared up to do what needs to be done in 2006/2007 and I am very pleased to be part of that effort.”
