The Spa Association Launches the First International Licensing System called Spa Secure

The Spa Association has created a system to accomplish just that. It is called Spa Secure!

Spa Secure is an international licensing system that gives consumers a tool to immediately recognize a spa’s dedication to the industry’s highest business principles, customer service operations and health and safety standards. Spa Secure’s logo and website will be used as the tool for consumers to identify industry leaders who meet the highest industry standards. It isn’t a matter of paying more to be “accredited.” It isn’t a matter of doing things right one day out of 365. Spa Secure is much more stringent than that. We have an active plan to mystery shop and audit those licensed with this program and also have a probationary set of procedures for those spas falling behind. Although a fee is paid for the service the licensure can be revoked if the spa licensed cannot meet our rigorous level of standards.

To receive Spa Secure licensure, your spa must undergo an extensive examination process. Each spa will be required to pass a written examination as well as an on-site inspection with stringent standards and rigorous regulations. However, once your spa earns our logo, you can proudly display it on all marketing material to guarantee to the world, your spa is dedicated to the industryÂ’s highest standards. Your spa will also immediately receive all of the benefits of our program including a description of your spa with a live link on our website, extensive media coverage and elevated respect from the industry.
Spa Secure, founded in 2004 by Melinda Minton, is fully committed to raising the level of integrity and credibility to the spa industry by awarding licensing to spas that meet the highest standards. Spa Secure recently licensed Oasis, Exhale and Stone Spa in New York City. Licensing inspections have also been scheduled in Chicago and Los Angeles for the month of August and in locations in Florida for the month of September.
