The Burbank Group Wins Two More International Summit Creative Awards 2009

The winning categories include: "Website: Academic Institution;" and "Best Web Rebrand/Redesign."

"Both of the awards received on behalf of work done for Georgetown University's Flagship Alumni means that the strategic planning and analysis that went into this site has achieved a superior result. My primary objective in creating this new DCHOYAS. ORG, was to launch more than just a resource--rather, I wanted an online 'quad' that could mitigate the universal challenge of offering alums of all ages a relevant, timely, demographically appropriate, and engaging virtual home. Meeting this goal means that close to forty thousand members will have a more enticing way to learn about and hopefully get involved in the fabulous programming of the Club," said Karen M. Greenwald, President of The Burbank Group.

The Summit Creative Awards recognizes and celebrates creative successes of small/medium sized advertising agencies and other creative groups with annual billings of $30 million or less. For over 15 years, the competition has established itself as the premier arbiter of excellence for firms of this size.

Entries in 22 creative categories are judged against a stringent set of standards. During the blind judging events (entering company names withheld) judges search for innovative and creative concepts, strong executions and the ability to communicate and persuade.

This year's creative competition included companies from the following twenty-six countries: Australia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Croatia, Denmark, Egypt, England, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, India, Japan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Martinique - French West Indies, Oman, Singapore, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United States, and United Kingdom.

Winners were selected in categories that include print, broadcast, emerging media, online advertising, marketing materials, direct mail, green marketing, political, corporate video, public service, best idea never produced, industry self-promotion, and brand (http://www. burbankgroup. net/projects) redesign.
