Current Issues in Clinical Lactation 2002 includes patients' perceptions of providers' views on breastfeeding, inadequate screening of the mother for alcohol consumption, prematurity, and the effects of a non-supportive culture are explored.

 In its first edition last year, Current Issues in Clinical Lactation 2000 was called “brilliant” and “exceptional” in a review published by the Journal of Human Lactation (Vol. 17, Iss. 2, p. 170, ã 2001). Kathleen G. Auerbach, PhD, IBCLC, maintains a private practice in lactation consulting at The Parent Center in Ferndale, Washington. She is co-author with Jan Riordan of Breastfeeding and Human Lactation (now in its second edition) and its three accompanying titles. She and Jan Riordan are also the authors of Clinical Lactation: A Visual Guide. Each of these titles is also available from Jones and Bartlett Publishers.
