PI Corporation, founded by Mr. Paul Maritz, ex Group VP, Microsoft, today announced its partnership with Aditi Technologies, for its core design and development center in Bangalore. PI Corporation is developing next generation software that targets the coming changes in the way information is stored, retrieved and viewed. The framework is initially targeted at the Linux environment. Mr. Paul Maritz and Warburg Pincus, a prestigious global VC firm with a proven track record of investing in software companies, are funding the PI effort together.

PI Corporation, founded by Mr. Paul Maritz, ex Group VP, Microsoft, today announced its partnership with Aditi Technologies, for its core design and development center in Bangalore. PI Corporation is developing next generation software that targets the coming changes in the way information is stored, retrieved and viewed. The framework is initially targeted at the Linux environment. Mr. Paul Maritz and Warburg Pincus, a prestigious global VC firm with a proven track record of investing in software companies, are funding the PI effort together.

PI is partnering with Aditi Technologies to identify and build the core team that will be the foundation of the design & development center in India. The PI team has a strong group of technology gurus who will work with the India center to create this mainstream product from scratch. Aditi will also help the PI core team to scale up to a full-fledged engineering team and further extend all infrastructure support to PI Corporation, India.

PI expects to release software targeting various platforms in free (open source) and licensed forms. The software will impact the needs of not just corporate but mainstream personal information users.
