Burlington, MA (Vocus) April 7, 2010

expressor software, the leader in semantic data integration, announced today that its results for Q1 2010 included significant year-over-year and sequential growth based on increasing success in the small-to-medium sized business (SMB) market served by Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).

“The positive response expressor continued to receive in Q1 from SSIS users in SMBs confirms our strategy to deliver enterprise-class data integration capabilities at an affordable cost,” said Bob Potter, CEO and co-founder, expressor software. “I am pleased with the progress we are making and very optimistic about the remainder of 2010 and beyond, as we are entering Q2 with a very strong pipeline of new prospects, products and partners.”

“expressor is starting 2010 with another quarter of solid financial results,” added Melinda Smith, CFO, expressor software. “Our strong customer value proposition in the SMB market helped us grow our Q1 bookings, exceed our cash flow targets and build our pipeline visibility. We are very encouraged by the positive trends in our operational metrics, which are important indicators toward a very successful 2010.”

Sales and marketing momentum

Expressor signed several new license transactions in Q1 including a leading US health benefits company and SMBs such as Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute and Viverae. The company also received a repeat order from American Tower, which became an expressor customer in Q4 2009.

Expressor increased its investment in marketing programs designed to build awareness and demand in the SSIS community, sponsoring US-based Q1 SQLSaturday training events in Boston, Philadelphia and Tampa, and committing to Q2 SQLSaturday events in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas and New York. The company’s license transaction with Moffitt Cancer Center in Q1 resulted from the SQLSaturday event in Tampa.

Expressor also co-sponsored a white paper and webinar for SSIS users with Microsoft SQL Server MVP Andy Leonard and SQL Server Magazine, and conducted its first customer case study webinar in Q1, which featured American Tower.

New partners

Expressor expanded its partner program in Q1 with the addition of leading energy and environmental consultant Project Performance Corporation (PPC) as a systems integrator partner. PPC is part of the AEA group, a global consulting firm integrating expertise in the areas of environment and energy with cutting edge IT and global management. As an expressor partner, PPC will use the expressor semantic data integration system as part of its enterprise information management (EIM) framework to ensure the capture, delivery and security of high-quality information at every link of the information supply chain for its US-based government and commercial customers.

New product

Expressor concluded Q1 ready to announce version 2.2 of the expressor semantic data integration system, which will feature enhanced semantic rationalization and team development capabilities, additional database connectivity and expanded Microsoft platform support. The company will announce expressor 2.2 – and several strategic partnerships that extend expressor’s reach in key markets and geographies – on April 12th at the Gartner Business Intelligence Summit 2010 in Las Vegas.
