Guests will have the opportunity to select tables for the Houston Black Tie Dinner Gala the evening of the Guava Lamp cocktail party. Houston Black Tie Dinner Gala Table Captains commit to do their best to sell seats at their chosen tables but are not required to purchase those that they do not sell. Remaining seats will be open to general public sale two weeks prior to the main event.

The Houston Black Tie Dinner Gala, celebrating Casablanca, with the theme “Here’s Looking at You.” will be held Saturday, November 4, 2006 at the InterContinental Hotel in the Galleria area. Headlining the evening is the hilarious Leslie Jordan, from Will & Grace and Sordid Lives.

Tables for the Houston Black Tie Dinner Gala range from $1750.00 - $3000.00 and can be purchased on-line at www. houstonblacktiedinner. org or by calling Box Office Tickets at 800 494 TIXS. Individual tickets range from $175.00 to $275.00 and are also available online.

2006 Honorees: J. Hollyfield Political Service Award – The Honorable Mayor Bill White; Black Tie Humanitarian Award – Dr. Gordon Crofoot, MD, a leading physician with research and education of HIV/AIDS.

Houston Black Tie Dinner, Inc., a 501(c)3 organization to raise and distribute funds to both local charities and national organizations, and to honor worthy individuals for their contributions to the gay and lesbian community of Houston through their humanitarian or political work. Over the years, Houston Black Tie Dinner has seen a steady increase in attendance and support within the Houston Community, with total contributions to charities and national organizations totaling over $1.8 million dollars.
