Record Number of Teens Flood Teens4Hire. org in Search of Jobs

Huntington Beach, CA (PRWEB) July, 2003 — “Judging by the overwhelming number of teens to our service, teens are NOT lazy and unmotivated. Teens want jobs, “says Renee Ward, founder/executive director of www. teens4hire. org, a national online Career Center for employers and teens in the high school and college age groups. “We believe there are great jobs out there for teens and we want the business community to take notice”, she adds.

More than 600,000 teen visits have been recorded so far this year.

Thousands of ambitious teens with a broad range of interests, self-motivation and drive, become members everyday in hopes of landing a full or part time job, internship, apprenticeship or volunteer position. Others come for career guidance and exploration.

Teens4Hire. org services are free for teens 14 years of age and older and available to all US teens that can access the Internet. The site contains teen profiles (much like resumes) that employers can review, career awareness information and a jobs database for teens.

“Teens are looking for work in retail, fast-food/restaurants, arts, media, entertainment, sports, recreation, health services, customer service, call center, telemarketing, education, training, library, computers, financial services, hospitality, science, office admin and even manual labor, “says Ward.

Businesses can post a job ad/notice for $29 that runs for up to 60-days.

“For large national organizations with many hiring locations, Teens4Hire. org has extremely low cost membership plans that allow unlimited ads and locations with the ability to activate and deactivate job ads throughout the year at a price that beats hanging a hiring sign in the window,” adds Ward.
