Kalamazoo, MI (PRWEB) September 21, 2007

Yes, there really is a Kalamazoo... and some of the best interactive work in the world is coming from there.

Competing against entries from more than 40 countries, Kalamazoo, Mich.-based creative agency Biggs|Gilmore took home the Top Agency Award and a record-tying 20 WebAwards in an annual competition sponsored by the Web Marketing Association.

The Top Agency Award recognizes consistently outstanding development. This year, Biggs|Gilmore won multiple WebAwards across a wide range of categories, including two Best of Industry awards and eight Outstanding Website awards.

"Although we've done well at the WebAwards over the years, winning the Top Agency Award is especially meaningful because it shows our best thinking isn't limited to a handful of sites," said Andy Gould, vice president/creative director.

In the WebAwards, Web sites compete head-to-head within their industry and against an overall standard of excellence. For eight years in a row, Biggs|Gilmore has won multiple WebAwards, but this year was the agency's strongest showing to date and the first time it has been recognized with the Top Agency Award distinction.

Biggs|Gilmore won awards for Best Food Industry Website for Pop-Tarts and Best Pharmaceuticals Website for Perrigo. The agency also nabbed Outstanding Website awards for All Ears Theatre, Apple Jacks, Go-Tarts, Rice Krispies, Yogos, and several other Pop-Tarts sites.

"It's a true honor to be awarded for our work across such a diverse group of brands," said Marino Puhalj, vice president/creative director.

Biggs|Gilmore earned 11 Standard of Excellence awards for American Idols Live, Gilmore Keyboard Festival, Healthy Beginnings, LifeWise Health Plan, Kellogg Company, PediaCare, Ready Crust, Smart Start and Zimmer.

The 2007 WebAward Competition received more than 2,400 entries. Entries were judged on Web design, copywriting, innovation, content, interactivity, navigation and use of technology. Judges included members of the media, advertising executives, site designers, creative directors, corporate marketing executives, content providers and Webmasters.
