In response to online training course demand, the Office of Extended Studies at Fort Lewis College has partnered with Gatlin Education Services to provide programs in healthcare, business, construction technology, internet - design and technical, IT certifications and video game design and development.

In response to online training course demand, the Office of Extended Studies at Fort Lewis College has partnered with Gatlin Education Services to provide programs in healthcare, business, construction technology, internet - design and technical, IT certifications and video game design and development.

The new non-credit, online training courses are designed for individuals looking to switch career paths, obtain advanced training and certifications, or for first-time job seekers who need specialized training. The courses are all open enrollment and self-paced, and students are paired with a personal instructor. Online training courses take an average of 90 days to complete, provide training for entry-level positions and are easily taken from your home or business.

Labor market information released by the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment finds that many popular occupations are expected to experience significant growth through 2012, including those in the ‘hot trend’ areas of medical records and health information administration and pharmacy technicians.

According to the statistics mentioned above, medical records and health information administration should expand by 59 percent, while pharmacy technicians will benefit from a 52 percent increase.

Job seekers can be trained in these occupations by taking online courses offered through Fort Lewis College via Gatlin Education Services. They offer certification programs in the fields mentioned above, as well as many other high interest areas.
