Mystique's Aurora Vaillantcourt Featured in Savvy. com

Canadian model Aurora Vaillantcourt is this week's featured model and interview at men's lifestyle site Savvy. com.

Tracy, CA (PRWEB) March 7, 2007

Beautiful Canadian model Aurora Vaillantcourt uses her time between modeling assignments to create her own cosmetics and perfumes and plans to create her own cosmetics line.

The 21-year-old beauty from Toronto appears at Savvy. com this week courtesy of content partners at Mystique Magazine. Aurora talks to Savvy about scents, her photo-shoot and her first film role.

"When it comes to perfumes, I like warm sensual scents like vanilla and gardenia," she tells Savvy. "Also, scents that remind me of nice things... like vacations, moments in time, people I've met... The best perfumes are made from real oils, not fake fragrances."

Aurora got her start modeling after a small town photographer saw potential in her.

"I've been modeling since I was 18. I owe a lot to genetics, and I realized I was good at modeling. But as a teen, I wasn't allowed to have boyfriends or go out, my mother raised me religiously."

Mystique shot her photo shoot last year in St. Lucia and in Texas.

"Mark Daughn from Mystique is awesome. He's friendly, doesn't make me shy and there's no pressure working with him. He makes you feel confident, which makes for great photos. I've done artistic and fashion nudes for other photographers, but no magazines. I think nudity can be tasteful, but I'd never do Penthouse or Hustler."

Aurora said she is not one to party.

"I don't smoke or do drugs; I'm actually quite boring. I'm a home-body. I watch a lot of movies, at least three a week. I love David Lynch's Blue Velvet. It makes me laugh. I'd love to meet Dennis Hopper."

Does she like bad boys like Hopper? "Actually I like shy, quiet, nerdy guys who are genuinely nice people. I'm not into the GQ model types, and I don't like guys who obviously think too highly of themselves. Money isn't hugely important. I'm not a big mushy romantic either."

Despite her sex symbol status, Aurora claims that she doesn't get much attention from men.

"I don't dress sexy during the day. I wear glasses and simple clothing and look like a librarian. The normal guys are always too shy to approach me. Only the overconfident ones do. If a guy thinks a girl is nice, he should go up to her and say hi, tell her she has a nice smile, whatever... just be normal and friendly. Be charming by being yourself, that's what a girl likes. Also, guys, don't get her phone number, give her your number. I'd never give my phone number to a stranger, no matter how good looking he is."

A lot has been made of the fact that most models are thin when most women are not, so does she feel any pressure to stay skinny?

"There are more obese people in North America than thin. I don't starve myself, I'm naturally thin because I eat right. I think if more people ate better, there would be less obesity," she said.

Aurora is making the most of her youth, health and good fitness.

"In 5 years, I'd like to have a house bought and paid off. I plan on taking a marketing and business course for my cosmetics, but I'm modeling while I can."

Meanwhile, she plays the lead in "Sweet Karma", a new revenge thriller about the underground sex trade in Toronto.

"I've been in TV commercials before. We will see where it goes."
