Healthcare Excellence Award for Qualis Health Leadership
Cara Robinson, RN, BSN, CCM, Qualis Health’s Vice President of Medicaid Services, and Eric Wall, MD, MPH, Senior Medical Director, have been selected as 2010 honorees at the Dorland Health People Awards. Ms. Robinson was the winner in the “Case/Care Manager-Leadership” category and Dr. Wall received Honorable Mention in the “Medical Director-Provider” category.

Cara Robinson, RN, BSN, CCM, Qualis Health’s Vice President of Medicaid Services, and Eric Wall, MD, MPH, Senior Medical Director, have been selected as 2010 honorees at the Dorland Health People Awards. Ms. Robinson was the winner in the “Case/Care Manager-Leadership” category and Dr. Wall received Honorable Mention in the “Medical Director-Provider” category.
The Dorland Health People Awards recognize healthcare professionals who share their knowledge and skills to address challenges and meet the needs of their team, their patients and patients’ families. The purpose of the awards is to recognize “the dedication, the energy, the passion and the tireless pursuit of high-level patient care and first-class healthcare functioning” among America’s healthcare professionals. The Dorland Health People Awards honor healthcare professionals who are making a difference in assisting with the transitions of patients through the complicated healthcare landscape.

Ms. Robinson’s management of the multidisciplinary teams that provide care management services to several Medicaid agencies was a key component of her selection for this award. Her strong leadership has instilled passion into her teams through professional development, improved quality management and implementation of programs that improved access to care for Medicaid clients across several states.
Eric Wall, MD, MPH, leads a team of medical directors and a network of physician consultants who provide clinical peer review consultation for the organization’s contracts with government and private sector benefit programs. In addition to providing superior leadership for Qualis Health’s medical management products and services, Dr. Wall regularly contributes to local and national initiatives that seek to integrate evidence-based medicine and health policy.
Ms. Robinson was recognized at an awards luncheon on October 4, 2010, at the National Press Club in Washington, D. C. As a winner, she was profiled on dorlandhealth. com and in the October/November 2010 issue of Case In Point Magazine, a national publication promoting care coordination across the continuum of care.
