IQMax™ Partner Extends Product Offering with Announcement of PhysAssist™ IQEnterprise

IQMaxÂ’s distribution partner, MedQuist, Inc, announced the general availability of IQMaxÂ’s IQEnterprise Mobile Platform for PhysAssistIQ for their direct and distributor sales channel.

Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) July 18, 2005

IQMax, Inc., a leading provider of mobile healthcare solutions announced today that one of their leading distribution partners, MedQuist, Inc., has released the IQEnterprise Mobile Platform for PhysAssistIQ (IQSpeak®). MedQuist is the largest U. S. provider of transcription services to the United States and has been a co-branding distribution partner of the IQMax IQSpeak mobile dictation solution since 2002.

The IQEnterprise mobile platform delivers the same best-in-class performance as IQMaxÂ’s IQAnywhere ASP platform but provides the healthcare client the ability to manage a premise based server model within their own IT infrastructure. For those implementing IQEnterprise, they will now have the extended ability to deploy a distributed mobile platform to their integrated healthcare delivery network while centrally managing administration.

"The PhysAssistIQ application significantly enhances the quality of patient care while reducing errors. A physician -- or other caregiver -- can now have a list of patients in the palm of their hand and can display that list based on their preferences," says Rob Johnson, product manager for PhysAssist IQ. "During or immediately after the point of care, they can dictate their findings while the information is still fresh in their minds. And because of the interface, there's no need to re-enter any patient identifier or demographic data."

Patient demographic data is obtained by an interface with practice management/ scheduling and/or hospital information systems. Users simply select the appropriate patient from a list on their PDA and select "record" to dictate. PhysAssist IQ operates like a hand-held dictation device, allowing the originator to fast forward and rewind through dictation, as well as hold dictation on the unit to complete at a later time. The user can also select a work type for the dictation and assign a STAT note for priority transcription.

IQEnterprise provides a world class mobile platform which supports IQMaxÂ’s clinical results solution, IQRounds; IQCharge for mobile electronic documentation of patient encounter evaluation and procedures; IQScript and IQFormulary for electronic prescribing and formulary compliance along with IQSpeak for dictation.
