The American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management (AAHAM) Announces James Whicker, CPAM, as the new EHNAC Commissioner

The American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management (AAHAM) www. aaham. org, a professional association, announces member and EDI Liaison, James Whicker, CPAM, was appointed as the new Commissioner of the Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission (EHNAC).

EHNAC is a federally recognized, standards development organization non-profit fit accrediting body designed to improve transactional quality, operational efficiency and data security in healthcare.

Mr. Whicker is a Principal Consultant of Health IT Strategy & Policy at Kaiser Permanente in Portland, Oregon. He is a long time member of AAHAM and serves as EDI Liaison. He is Past Chair of the Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange (WEDI), having served in various positions on the board and executive committee since 2001. He Co-Chaired the WEDI Policy Advisory Group on Direct Data Entry and the WEDI Acknowledgements task group, and served as a panel member for the WEDI HIPAA TCS Implementation Hearing and the WEDI NPI Hearing.
