Intradeco Apparel, Inc. now offers textile products produced of 100 percent organic cotton through Inmobiliaria Apopa, the only CAFTA certified organic cotton producer in the region.

The cotton is produced by Inmobiliaria Apopa, a 100 percent cotton Ring Spinning Mill in operation since 1965 in El Salvador, which in turn is part of Intradeco Apparel, Inc, under strict regulations in order to meet the CAFTA agreement standards. This 100 percent organic cotton is produced in an isolated environment to guarantee its purity. Intradeco's products enter in the US duty free which greatly keeps its production costs down.

Intradeco Apparel will be offering its CAFTA 100 percent certified organic cotton products throughout the US in Wal-Mart as part of the company's sustainability initiative.

There are vast benefits to producing and offering organic cotton for purchase. Organic cotton is grown using methods and materials that have a low impact on the environment. Organic production systems replenish and maintain soil fertility, reduce the use of toxic and persistent pesticides and fertilizers, and build biologically diverse agriculture.

Moreover, by purchasing an organic cotton product, consumers can support the organic farming industry. This encourages agricultural methods that do not harm the environment and help to reduce the amount of potentially harmful chemical compounds in the air. Finally, consumers contribute to a recycling strategy. Organic materials decompose naturally back into the soil and do not leave behind harmful toxins.

There have also been studies that have shown the many health benefits of using cotton products, especially in babies and allergy sufferers.

Additionally, the dying operation of Intradeco's 100 percent certified organic cotton is powered by waste steam, furthering reducing the impact to the environment.

Intradeco Apparel, Inc. is part of the Siman Group, a wholly-owned family business founded in 1921, and is a major supplier of textiles and apparel to retailers in the United States, Mexico and Canada. Other subsidiaries of Intradeco Apparel, Inc. include Wright's, Fivey's, Dana Undies and Selected Trading, also based in Miami.
