New Managing Director and Company Expansion At Exosect

The appointment of a New Managing Director and expansion into new offices underlines innovative pest control business’ drive into international marketing and major internal growth.

(PRWEB) March 10, 2006

Exosect, a leading provider of environmentally conscious insect pest control, today announced the promotion of Martin Brown to Managing Director. He takes over from John Chandler, who is retiring.

Brown will oversee what is set to be the company’s busiest year to date, with major expansion into the USA, South Africa and other markets around the world. At the same time, Exosect’s Research and Development Team is expanding, following new product development agreements and research grants amounting to more than $1 million. Due to these recent developments the company has decided to relocate the company HQ to larger premises later this month, which will house all the company’s expanded sales/marketing, manufacturing/distribution and research & development functions under one roof.

The office move follows an exciting period in the history of the company with major expansion into new US and European markets and new product development agreements and research grants totalling more than $1million. Martin Brown will be directing Exosect’s ambitious development and commercial programme across the world.

Brown commented, “Over the past 5 years with the support of dedicated investors and industry grants, Exosect has been bringing its scientific innovations to the attention of the market. This new move will enable us to grow and continue with 90 development programmes in over 20 countries. We believe our technology to be one of the most innovative within the pest control market and with our partner’s support we are confident that we will achieve our goal to assist farmers and growers to reduce their crop residues without loss of quality or yield.”

Continued Brown, “We appreciate that our technology alone will not bring the customers to our door. We have developed a clear three-year strategy that will see Exosect focus its development and commercial programme into 6 key product lines for pesticide free control of certain Lepidoptera in agriculture as well as in the storage sector. In parallel with this activity, Exosect will continue to work alongside Dow AgroSciences and other major agrochemical companies to develop its delivery systems with their actives. We now have 90 development programmes in over 20 countries, and have chosen our in-market partners for their motivation and enthusiasm.”

Formerly Sales and Marketing Director at Exosect, Martin has over 25 years experience in agrochemical sales, marketing and business operation roles within the companies including ICI, Astra Zeneca and Syngenta.
